I come to this restaurant often for breakfast, I usually sit at the counter being a single. The restaurant has a great breakfest. Today, the counter was being used on one side as a workstation. That's OK. It's not a 5 star and part of its charm . But when the left half of the counter was taken over by a young server doing her hair and make-up while also eating her breakfast, well, I hope the health department does/doesn't walk in. This is not her bathroom. Oh, she never came back to check if I needed anything, but she was eager to leave a check. I think in the past I left 4 stars for this restaurant. The food was great! SEE BELOW. P.S. IMHO, for her, less is better. Breakfast! Great staff. Traditional America food. Truck stop style.

I wasn't too sure about this place, but I'm glad I gave it a chance. I saw an old, outdated menu on Google photos, and it turns out the burger I wanted was no longer on the menu. The burger I ended up ordering was huge, hot, well seasoned, and cooked correctly. It came with lettuce, pickles, onion, and tomato slices on the side. I chose Crispy Fries, and they were similar to Burger King, except they were natural cut and halfway to steak fries in size. They were served hot and as good as any fries I've eaten in 59 years. My wife had a skillet and it looked ugly to me but she ate it all and didn't have a bad word to say about it. Our food was served fresh, hot, and prompt. We came in on a Monday night at 7:30 pm, and we had the delightful waitress all to ourselves. (Note that she turned away customers after 8 pm.) The food was Montana expensive but not more expensive than any other meal I've had on this vacation. The bar and casino are well separated from the diner. I consider this restaurant to be a good Triple D find, so I'm happy.

First off the staff is super friendly! Other than that we came in looking for a burger and everything came out quickly and was very fresh! The burger is really great and they do it right here. This is a really underrated place in Livingston for the bar and restaurant

Food was awesome. My son had an omelet the size of Montana. He loved it, I figured it had a dozen eggs in it just to wrap all the food inside of it. Crazy amount of food for your money. Wife loved her food and my chicken sandwich hit the spot as well. Great place

Despite the old-fashioned appearance, the food at 49er Diner is surprisingly good! Hot and fresh each time I have ordered. Staff is kind but perhaps a bit overwhelmed/overworked each time I'm there. If it weren't for the relatively expensive prices for diner food (roughly 20-25 dollars per person after accounting for a drink & tip), I would give them 5 stars.

Here for the Livingston Derby today. There is only 1 waitress and 1 cook. This place is packed full. Every table and chair is filled. The service is great and she is constantly running around. Very friendly service and atmosphere. I would most Definately come back! Keep up the great work!

We love coming here on Sundays to watch football, drink and eat. It’s all good. All the games are on big screen televisions with plenty of good seating. Great Bloody Caesars and the food is very good
